Synopsis, no spoilers

Something is found on the outskirts of a remote harbour city, and the people who live there are left fighting to survive an encounter they have no preparation for. That is as much as the official material describes, and we have not filled in the rest.

Cast

The draw here is a Korean cast alongside international names in one film: Hwang Jung-min and Zo In-sung, with Hoyeon, widely known from Squid Game, and Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander, Taylor Russell and Cameron Britton.

Director

Na Hong-jin works rarely, which is why each film is watched closely. Widely reported figures put the budget at around US$46 million, described as the largest for a Korean film. We have not confirmed that figure with the producers, so we report it as reported, not as official.
